Learning Support Assistant – Primary School

Location: Ealing, West London
Contract: Long term

Pay: £105–£110 per day

About the role

A welcoming primary school in Ealing is seeking a caring and reliable Learning Support Assistant to join its team on a long-term basis.

You’ll support pupils with their learning, engagement and development, working alongside teachers and other support staff to help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment. This opportunity would suit someone who is patient, proactive and committed to helping primary-aged children thrive.

Key responsibilities

  • Support pupils with classroom learning and daily activities.
  • Work with individuals or small groups as directed by the teacher.
  • Help pupils stay engaged and develop confidence and independence.
  • Adapt resources and provide encouragement to meet pupils’ needs.
  • Support positive behaviour and classroom routines.
  • Share relevant observations about pupils’ progress with teaching staff.
  • Help maintain a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
  • Follow school safeguarding, health and safety and confidentiality procedures.

About you

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience working with children, ideally in a primary school.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A patient, calm and supportive approach.
  • The ability to encourage children’s learning and independence.
  • A proactive and dependable attitude.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.
  • Availability to start ASAP.

Experience supporting pupils with SEN or additional learning needs would be beneficial.
