SENCO (Part-Time – 3 Days per Week) – Autumn Term
Primary School – Tower Hamlets | Potential to Extend / Go Permanent

We are working with a supportive and inclusive primary school in Tower Hamlets seeking an experienced SENCO to join their team for the Autumn term. This is a part-time role (3 days per week) with the potential to continue on a long-term or permanent basis from January.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated SEN professional to make a meaningful impact within a school that places inclusion and pupil wellbeing at the heart of its ethos.

The Role

  • Leading and managing SEND provision across the school
  • Identifying pupil needs and ensuring appropriate support and interventions are in place
  • Working closely with staff, parents, and external agencies
  • Supporting and advising teachers on inclusive practice and differentiation
  • Maintaining accurate SEND records and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements
  • Contributing to the strategic development of SEND provision

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • National Award for SEN Coordination (or working towards)
  • Proven experience in a SENCO or senior SEND role within a primary setting
  • Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A proactive and compassionate approach to supporting pupils with additional needs

This role would suit an experienced SENCO or an aspiring SEN leader ready to step into a leadership role within a supportive school environment.
