Deputy Nursery Manager – Brand New Nursery Opening September 2026
Location: Bexley
Salary: £30,000 per annum

Are you an experienced early years professional ready to take the next step into a leadership role? We are recruiting a Deputy Nursery Manager to support the launch and development of a brand new nursery in Bexley, opening this September.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in establishing a high-quality setting from the outset, supporting the Nursery Manager and helping to build a positive, nurturing environment for children and staff alike.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the setting
  • Ensure compliance with EYFS and safeguarding standards
  • Lead by example in delivering high-quality care and early years education
  • Supervise, support, and motivate staff to maintain excellent practice
  • Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals
  • Assist with staff training, development, and performance management

Requirements

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare or a related field (essential)
  • Experience working within an early years setting, ideally in a senior or supervisory role
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and teamwork skills
  • A proactive and positive approach to supporting children’s development
