PURPOSE OF POST
The post holder will raise pupil achievement by delivering a comprehensive and aspirational Careers, Progression and Outreach programme across the school.
They will contribute to the school’s Beyond 18 strategy by advising, guiding and supporting pupils with their post‑18 pathways and next steps.
Key Responsibilities
Student Progression and Outreach
· Lead and oversee key flagship outreach programmes.
· Oversee and manage Unifrog for Years 7–11.
· Take responsibility for Post‑16 destinations.
· Lead the planning and delivery of Aspirations Evening.
· Oversee and manage student‑led societies.
· Develop and oversee the school’s super‑curricular provision.
· Deputise in the running of UCAS processes for the Sixth Form.
· Oversee and manage Unifrog in the Sixth Form.
· Oversee and manage scholarship and bursary provision.
· Oversee and run the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ).
· Oversee the Future Scholars or Future Professionals Programme.
· Develop and oversee KS3/KS4 Future Scholars offers.
· Oversee and organise the lecture programme at STAC.
· Contribute to STAC’s enrichment programme.
· Support the development of pupils’ oracy skills.
Employability
· Oversee Year 10 and Year 12 work experience programmes.
· Oversee and manage careers adviser provision for Years 10 and 12, and complete Careers Leader training to enable the undertaking of pupil appointments.
· Oversee and manage careers education for Years 7–11, ensuring pupils are prepared for the Modern Work Experience provision.
· Manage student internship and paid opportunity placements.

As this is a new post and is expected to evolve to meet the needs of the school, there will need to be some flexibility in regards to your initial and ongoing responsibilities, which will be added to this job description as the role expands.
