Camden Primary School

September start

A well-regarded and inclusive primary school in the London Borough of Camden is seeking to appoint a committed and experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join their team from September.

This is a full-time, term-time only position, offering a daily rate of £110.

The successful candidate will provide targeted support to pupils within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Key Stage 1. The role will involve working on a 1:1 basis as well as delivering support to small groups, ensuring that pupils with additional needs are able to access the curriculum and reach their full potential.

The position requires experience supporting children with a range of special educational needs, particularly Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The postholder will work closely with class teachers and the SENCo to implement tailored strategies, support behavioural and emotional development, and promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have demonstrable experience supporting children with SEN, including ADHD and ASD
  • Possess a calm, patient, and adaptable approach
  • Be confident working both independently and collaboratively within a school team
  • Demonstrate a genuine commitment to supporting young learners in their early development

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school community with a strong focus on inclusion and pupil wellbeing.

We are dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff to share this commitment. You will have a safeguarding responsibility if appointed.
