About the Role

As a Learning Support Mentor, you’ll play a key role in helping students thrive—academically, socially, and personally. Working closely with teaching staff, you’ll support learners across a range of vocational subjects, helping them access the curriculum, build confidence, and reach their full potential.

This is a rewarding role where no two days are the same, and your contribution will directly shape the success of our learners.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Empowering young people to achieve their personalised learning goals, including those outlined in Education, Health and Care Plans.
  • Adapting classroom resources to ensure accessibility—for example, enlarging text or simplifying language.
  • Supporting students with therapy interventions such as Physiotherapy or Speech and Language Therapy, following guidance from professionals.
  • Working directly with learners to review and update their support needs.
  • Taking part in ongoing training and development as agreed with the Learning Support Manager.
  • Using initiative, empathy and tact when supporting learners in a variety of situations.
  • Adopting a flexible, student-centred approach at all times.

Essential: GCSE Grade C/4 (or equivalent) in English and Maths.

Desirable: Experience working with individuals with SEND.
