SEN Teacher – ARP Provision | Barnet | September 2026 Start

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate SEN Teacher to join the ARP provision within a welcoming primary school in Barnet on a permanent basis from September 2026.

The ARP supports a small group of 8 pupils in Years 3–6 with Autism, with some children also presenting with ADHD and associated challenging behaviours. This is a rewarding opportunity for a dedicated SEN Teacher who is committed to creating an inclusive, structured, and nurturing learning environment where every child can thrive.

Setting: ARP within Mainstream Primary School

The successful SEN Teacher will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs
  • Support pupils with Autism, ADHD, and associated behavioural needs
  • Create a positive, safe, and structured learning environment
  • Work closely with support staff, SENCOs, and external professionals
  • Use effective behaviour management strategies to support pupil progress
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues

To be considered for this SEN Teacher role, you must have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Previous experience working with children with SEN, particularly Autism and ADHD
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management and inclusive teaching strategies
  • A patient, resilient, and nurturing approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
