Learning Support Mentor – Service Industries
Location: Cambridge
Hours: 14.5 hours per week (2 days – Monday & Friday)
Contract: Temporary (until end of academic year)
Basis: Term Time Only

We are currently seeking a dedicated and supportive Learning Support Mentor to join the Service Industries department at our Cambridge campus on a temporary basis until the end of the academic year.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting learners to achieve their full potential within a further education setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-class and one-to-one support to learners within the Service Industries department
  • Assist students with additional learning needs to access the curriculum effectively
  • Work closely with teaching staff to implement individual support strategies
  • Encourage student engagement, independence, and confidence
  • Support learners in developing key employability and life skills

Requirements:

  • GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent
  • Previous experience supporting young people or adults in an educational or support setting is desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach

This role is offered on a part-time, term-time only basis, working 2 days per week (Monday and Friday), totalling 14.5 hours.
