Year 1 Teacher – Maternity Cover (1 Year) – Haringey – ASAP Start

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Haringey is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join their team on a 1-year maternity cover basis, starting as soon as possible.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed teacher to join a supportive school community with a strong focus on pupil progress, wellbeing, and high-quality teaching and learning.

The Role:

  • Full-time Year 1 class teacher
  • Planning, delivering and assessing engaging lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents
  • Maintaining high expectations for behaviour and achievement

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • Have experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (Year 1 experience desirable)
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management skills
  • Be passionate about delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
  • Be committed to supporting all pupils to reach their full potential

Salary:

  • MPS3 to UPS (Outer London), dependent on experience

Location:

  • Haringey, North London – easily accessible via public transport
