Music Teacher
Location: Hertfordshire
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

We are working in partnership with a thriving and forward-thinking Academy in Hertfordshire to recruit a passionate and creative Music Teacher to join their team from September 2026 on a permanent basis.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant department within a school that values the arts and encourages students to explore their musical talents. The Academy has a strong commitment to enrichment, offering a range of extracurricular opportunities including performances, ensembles, and productions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable)
  • Inspire students to develop their musical skills, creativity, and confidence
  • Deliver a broad curriculum including performance, composition, and music theory
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities such as choirs, bands, and school productions
  • Support whole-school events and performances

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • A degree in Music or a related subject
  • Experience teaching Music in a secondary school setting
  • Strong practical and theoretical musical knowledge
  • The ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities
