Sociology and Psychology Teacher
Location: Southwark, London

We’re seeking a passionate and dedicated Sociology and Psychology Teacher to join a high-achieving secondary school and sixth form in Southwark this September. This is an excellent opportunity for an inspiring educator to teach two popular and thriving subjects at GCSE and A-Level.

About the Role

You will be responsible for delivering engaging, well-structured lessons that challenge and motivate students across Key Stages 4 and 5. Working as part of a strong humanities and social sciences faculty, you will contribute to a collaborative and supportive teaching culture where academic curiosity is encouraged and student success is celebrated.

You will:

  • Teach both Sociology and Psychology to GCSE and A-Level students.
  • Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons that develop students’ critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the social sciences curriculum.
  • Support students through enrichment activities and exam preparation.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
  • A strong subject knowledge in both Sociology and Psychology.
  • The ability to inspire and motivate learners of all abilities.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and professional growth.
