The Role

As the class teacher in the Early Years Foundation Stage, you’ll play a key role in shaping children’s first experiences of school. You’ll create an engaging, inclusive learning environment that supports every child’s curiosity, progress, and personal development. Working alongside a dedicated EYFS team, you’ll deliver high-quality teaching that inspires a love of learning from the very beginning.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver inspiring, play-based lessons in line with the EYFS Framework.
• Provide a nurturing classroom environment that promotes independence and creativity.
• Assess and track pupil progress, using observations to inform future planning.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for every child.
• Contribute to wider school life and share good practice within the EYFS team.

About You

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching in Early Years.
• A thorough understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child development.
• A positive, proactive approach with excellent classroom management skills.
• The ability to build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
• Passionate about providing the very best start to education for every child.
