Education Sales Manager

Location: Remote within UK

Reporting to: Marketing & Social Value Director

Contract Type: Full-time

Start Date: ASAP

Salary £35,000 - £45,000 + Bonus

Role Overview

The Sales Manager will lead the development and delivery of a proactive student recruitment and partnership sales strategy. The role is responsible for generating enrolments across undergraduate and professional programmes by building relationships with employers, training providers, recruitment agents, and prospective students.

The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking with hands-on sales delivery, managing the full recruitment pipeline from lead generation through to enrolment.

Key Responsibilities

Student Recruitment & Sales

·       Develop and implement a sales strategy to achieve student recruitment targets.

·       Manage the full recruitment pipeline from enquiry to enrolment.

·       Convert leads through consultations, presentations, and follow-ups.

·       Work closely with marketing to maximise lead generation campaigns.

·       Maintain accurate CRM records and track conversion performance.

 

Employer & Partnership Development

·       Build relationships with construction companies, employers, and industry bodies.

·       Develop employer-sponsored learning opportunities.

·       Establish partnerships with training providers and recruitment agents.

·       Identify opportunities for cohort-based or employer-funded programmes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Business Development

·       Identify new markets and opportunities for programme growth.

·       Represent Francis James at industry events, exhibitions, and networking forums.

·       Support the development of new programmes aligned with industry demand.

 

Sales Operations

·       Monitor sales performance and provide regular reports to senior management.

·       Develop sales scripts, outreach strategies, and recruitment processes.

·       Ensure compliance with higher education recruitment standards and ethical marketing practices.

 

Key Performance Indicators

·       Student recruitment targets

·       Lead-to-enrolment conversion rates

·       Employer partnerships established

·       Revenue growth from programmes

·       Pipeline value and forecast accuracy

 

Skills & Experience

Essential

·       Proven experience in sales, recruitment, or business development

·       Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets

·       Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills

·       Ability to manage a sales pipeline and CRM system

·       Strong presentation and communication skills

 

Desirable

·       Experience in higher education recruitment or education sales

·       Experience working with employers in the construction or professional sectors

·       Understanding of student finance and higher education admissions

·       Existing network within industry or training providers
