School Administration Officer (Part-Time)
Location: Wandsworth Primary School
Start date: ASAP
Contract: Part-time, ongoing
Hours: 5 mornings per week or 3 full days per week (negotiable)
Pay: Competitive hourly rate, dependent on experience

Are you an organised, friendly, and proactive administrator looking for a rewarding part-time role in a school setting? We’re seeking a School Administration Officer to join a busy and welcoming school office team, starting as soon as possible.

The Role

As the first point of contact for parents, staff, and visitors, you’ll play a vital role in the smooth day-to-day running of the school. You’ll manage administrative tasks with efficiency and care, supporting senior staff, teachers, and pupils with a variety of duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a warm, professional front-office service to staff, parents, and visitors.
  • Handle telephone enquiries, emails, and correspondence.
  • Assist with pupil attendance records and maintain accurate databases.
  • Support with general administrative tasks including filing, photocopying, and data entry.
  • Coordinate appointments, meetings, and school events as required.
  • Work closely with the School Business Manager and other office staff to ensure smooth administrative operations.

About You

  • Previous experience in a school office or administrative environment preferred.
  • Strong IT, communication, and organisational skills.
  • A calm, professional manner and the ability to multitask in a busy setting.
  • A flexible and positive approach — ready to help wherever needed.
  • Knowledge of SIMS or similar school systems (desirable but not essential).
