1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Westminster)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Long-term, full-time
Location: Westminster, Central London
Pay: £100 – £110 per day (depending on experience)

A welcoming Primary School in Westminster is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a long-term basis. This is an immediate start opportunity for a caring and experienced professional keen to make a real difference in a child’s educational journey.

About the Role:

  • Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with additional learning needs (autism, speech and language, or social communication challenges).
  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCo, and external specialists to deliver personalised learning support.
  • Encourage independence, positive behaviour, and engagement in class activities.
  • Monitor progress and adapt strategies to suit the child’s individual needs.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Prior experience supporting children with SEN in a primary school setting.
  • Able to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Patient, proactive, and passionate about helping every child reach their potential.
  • Available ASAP and committed to a long-term role through to the end of the academic year (and potentially beyond).
