Clarus Education is currently supporting a range of secondary schools in Havering who are seeking confident and qualified Secondary Teachers for flexible teaching opportunities.

These roles are suitable for teachers who enjoy classroom-based work without the added responsibility of planning, as lessons and resources will be provided in advance. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, managing behaviour effectively, and ensuring pupils remain focused and supported throughout the school day.

Opportunities are available across all curriculum areas, including core and foundation subjects.

Role Overview

As a Secondary Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering pre-prepared lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
• Maintaining strong classroom management and positive behaviour standards
• Supporting pupil engagement and progress
• Adapting delivery to meet the needs of different classes
• Covering lessons on both same-day basis and pre-booked assignments
• Contributing to a professional and supportive learning environment

All planning will be in place, enabling you to focus on effective lesson delivery.

Person Specification

We are looking for candidates who:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Have experience teaching within a UK secondary school
• Are confident leading a classroom independently
• Demonstrate excellent behaviour management skills
• Are flexible, reliable and professional
• ECTs are encouraged to apply where appropriate
• Have the right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available, if required)
