SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School – Enfield, North London

The Role

This full-time, long-term position is available to start ASAP. You’ll be:

  • Supporting pupils in KS1 or KS2 with Autism, ADHD, emotional or behavioural needs, or Speech & Language difficulties
  • Delivering tailored 1:1 and small group support to promote confidence and independence
  • Assisting with learning across the curriculum, adapting materials and strategies to suit individual abilities
  • Running targeted interventions to build literacy, numeracy, and communication skills
  • Working in partnership with the SENCo, teachers, and external specialists to track progress and adjust support plans

Pay: £95–£120 per day (term-time only, paid weekly)

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a caring, motivated professional who can bring both compassion and structure to the classroom.
You’ll ideally have:

  • Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant, supporting children with additional needs
  • Strong academic background
  • A confident, calm approach to behaviour management
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to build positive relationships quickly
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience in supporting children with diverse learning styles
  • A strong academic background – graduates or those with excellent literacy and numeracy skills are highly encouraged to apply
  • A genuine passion for inclusive education and a drive to see every child succeed
