Clarus Education is working in partnership with a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Greenwich to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Physical Education (PE) Teacher for a full-time, permanent position. This role is available for an April or September start and requires Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) along with proven teaching experience.

This is an excellent opportunity for a committed PE Teacher who is passionate about promoting physical health, teamwork, resilience and sporting excellence across the secondary age range.

The Role – Physical Education Teacher

As a PE Teacher, you will:

• Deliver engaging and high-quality PE lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Plan and assess in line with the national curriculum and examination requirements (if applicable)
• Promote participation, teamwork and positive sporting values
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, safety and engagement
• Contribute to extracurricular sport, clubs and fixtures
• Work collaboratively within the PE department to develop the curriculum
• Support whole-school initiatives around wellbeing and active lifestyles

The Ideal PE Teacher

The successful Physical Education Teacher will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (essential)
• Have proven experience teaching PE in a UK secondary school
• Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Be confident delivering a broad range of sports and physical activities
• Show commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
• Be organised, energetic and a positive role model for students
