Clarus Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Bromley to recruit a dedicated and knowledgeable Humanities Teacher to join the team from September on a full-time, permanent basis. This role is paid on the MPS/UPS scale and requires Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate Humanities Teacher who is committed to delivering high-quality teaching across subjects such as History, Humanities, and/or Religious Education, depending on specialism.

The Role – Humanities Teacher

As a humanities Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Plan, prepare and assess in line with curriculum and exam requirements
  • Inspire students to develop critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and academic achievement
  • Use assessment data effectively to inform planning and progress
  • Contribute positively to departmental collaboration and curriculum development
  • Support the wider school ethos and enrichment opportunities

The Ideal Humanities Teacher

The successful Humanities Teacher will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (essential)
  • Have experience teaching Humanities within a UK secondary school
  • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and curriculum understanding
  • Be confident with classroom and behaviour management
  • Show commitment to high standards and pupil progress
  • Be professional, organised and enthusiastic about teaching Humanities
