Our school is proud to be recognised by Ofsted as a Good school with Outstanding features, reflecting our strong leadership, high expectations and inclusive ethos.
Inspectors praised the school’s “calm and purposeful learning environment”, “high aspirations for all pupils” and the “strong relationships between staff and students which support learning effectively.” Behaviour and attitudes were highlighted as strengths, alongside a broad and ambitious curriculum that enables students to flourish both academically and personally.
The Role
As Head of Humanities, you will:
· Provide dynamic and strategic leadership across History, Geography and RE
· Drive high standards of teaching, learning and assessment
· Inspire a love of Humanities and promote strong academic outcomes
· Develop curriculum innovation and enrichment opportunities
· Lead on raising attainment across all key stages
You will be managing a fantastic, committed and highly skilled team, including a supportive and experienced Second in Department, alongside a talented group of Humanities teachers who are passionate about their subjects and dedicated to delivering engaging, challenging lessons. The faculty benefits from strong collaboration, shared planning and a culture of professional trust.
This is a wonderful opportunity to lead a team that is already successful and cohesive, while bringing your own vision and energy to further enhance outcomes and student engagement.
