Secondary SENDCO (Full-Time, Permanent)
Salary: £41,075 – £52,490 + TLR 2C £8,611
Start Date: September 2026
Location: Hertfordshire
We are seeking an ambitious, passionate and experienced Secondary SENDCO to join our dedicated and forward-thinking team in Hertfordshire. This is a full-time, permanent leadership opportunity for an outstanding practitioner who is committed to ensuring that every student, regardless of need, achieves their full potential.

The Role
As SENDCO, you will:
· Lead and strategically develop SEND provision across the secondary phase
· Ensure full compliance with the SEND Code of Practice
· Work closely with senior leaders, teachers, support staff, parents and external agencies
· Drive high-quality teaching and adaptive practice for students with SEND
· Oversee EHCP processes, annual reviews and intervention programmes
· Line manage and develop members of the inclusion team
· Champion inclusion and promote a culture of high expectations for all learners
The SENDCO qualification is preferred (or a willingness to work towards it). You must have a proven track record of improving outcomes for students with additional needs and the ability to inspire colleagues through strong leadership and collaboration.
