A successful and inclusive secondary school in Newham is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join its team on a permanent, full-time basis from April 2026. The Role

  • Full classroom teaching responsibilities within the Science department
  • Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Teaching across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 available depending on subject specialism and experience)
  • Marking, assessment, and providing clear, constructive feedback to support student progress
  • Tracking attainment data and implementing strategies to raise achievement
  • Contributing to curriculum development and departmental improvement planning
  • Participating in parents’ evenings, school events, and wider school life
  • Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, engagement, and academic success

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has experience teaching Science in a UK secondary school setting
  • Demonstrates strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
  • Is committed to inclusive practice and supporting students of all abilities
  • Has excellent classroom management skills
  • Works well as part of a collaborative team
  • Shows a genuine enthusiasm for Science and inspiring young people
