Are you an experienced Nursery–Year 2 SEN Teaching Assistant looking to support young children with additional needs in a specialist setting? Do you thrive working with early years and KS1 pupils who require structured support, patience, and consistency?

Clarus Education is recruiting a committed Nursery–Year 2 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated) within a welcoming primary school in Lewisham. This is a long-term, full-time role starting ASAP, supporting a small class of 6–8 children with a range of SEN needs.

As a Nursery–Year 2 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting children across Early Years and KS1, helping to deliver personalised learning, structured interventions, and daily care routines, including personal care where required.

In this role as a Nursery–Year 2 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

· Support a small class of 6–8 children with SEN within a mainstream primary school
· Provide 1:1 and small group support across Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2
· Assist with early phonics, early maths, speech and language development, and sensory-based learning
· Provide personal care support in a respectful and professional manner
· Help manage behaviour positively using consistent strategies
· Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider SEN team
· Support children’s emotional regulation and social development
· Monitor progress and contribute to pupil reports and EHCP targets

· Have experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant, ideally within Early Years or KS1

· Be comfortable providing personal care
· Demonstrate patience, resilience, and a nurturing approach
· Have strong communication and teamwork skills
· Be available to start ASAP and commit to a long-term, full-time role
