Part-Time SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support – Year 5)
Westminster | Start: ASAP | Long-Term Contract
Days: Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday

A prestigious Prep School in Westminster is seeking a confident and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a Year 5 pupil who has severe dyslexia. This is a part-time role (3 days per week) to start immediately and continue through to the end of the academic year.

About the Role

  • Provide focused 1:1 support to help develop literacy and confidence
  • Adapt learning materials to match the pupil’s individual needs
  • Encourage positive engagement and effective behaviour in class
  • Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCo to support progress
  • Take initiative in the classroom and respond confidently to challenges

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong experience supporting children with dyslexia or specific learning difficulties
  • Excellent behaviour management and a calm, firm approach
  • Proactive, reliable, and able to connect quickly with pupils and staff
  • A background in primary or prep school settings is desirable
