Clarus Education is recruiting an experienced English Teacher for a long-term, full-time role within a Secondary Academy in Havering, starting April 2026.

This opportunity is suitable for an experienced English Teacher or an ECT, who is confident teaching English across the secondary age range and able to commit to a long-term position in an academy setting.

The Role:

• Full-time English Teacher position
• Teaching English across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
• Long-term opportunity within a structured academy environment
• Full planning, preparation and assessment responsibilities
• Working as part of a supportive and collaborative English department

The Ideal Candidate:

• Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be an ECT
• Must be an experienced classroom practitioner
• Experience teaching English in a UK Secondary School or Academy
• Strong subject knowledge and behaviour management skills
• Professional, reliable, and committed
• Must be able to provide references covering the last 5 years
