Teaching Assistant (Year 5 & 6)
Location: Brent, North West London
Start Date: ASAP – Trials Available Now
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term (Until July 2026)
Are you a confident Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting upper KS2 learners? A welcoming school in Brent is looking for strong TAs to join their Year 5 and Year 6 team, offering immediate trials and a guaranteed long-term role until the end of the academic year.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Year 5 and Year 6 pupils in class, small groups, and one-to-one sessions
- Assist with literacy and numeracy interventions
- Promote positive behaviour and create an encouraging learning environment
- Work alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging, effective lessons
- Provide tailored support to help raise attainment and confidence
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience working with KS2 pupils (Year 5/6 preferred)
- Excellent behaviour management and classroom presence
- Strong subject knowledge across the core curriculum (English & Maths)
- Reliable, proactive, and a great communicator
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification desirable
