Teaching Assistant – Year 5 & 6 Support
Location: Brent, North West London
Start Date: ASAP (Trials Available Immediately)
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term (Until End of Academic Year)

Are you a confident and proactive Teaching Assistant with strong behaviour management and solid subject knowledge? We are working with a supportive primary school in Brent seeking two strong TAs to join their upper KS2 team, supporting pupils in Year 5 and Year 6 on a long-term basis through to July.

The Role

  • Providing classroom and intervention support across Year 5 and Year 6
  • Assisting with English and Maths lessons, supporting pupils of mixed abilities
  • Implementing positive behaviour strategies and maintaining a calm, focused learning environment
  • Working closely with class teachers to ensure students are motivated, challenged, and supported
  • Supporting small groups and individual pupils to help raise attainment and confidence

The Ideal Candidate

  • Has proven experience supporting KS2 pupils, ideally in upper primary (Y5/Y6)
  • Demonstrates strong behaviour management and can engage pupils effectively
  • Possesses good subject knowledge, particularly in Maths and English
  • Is reliable, adaptable, and able to build positive relationships with staff and pupils
  • Holds relevant TA experience or a Level 2/3 qualification (desirable but not essential)
