A vibrant and inclusive Primary School in Camden is looking for a KS1 SEMH Teacher to join their team from February 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and develop a brand-new specialist class for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

The Role

  • Teaching a small KS1 specialist class, focused on emotional wellbeing, engagement and positive learning outcomes.
  • Working closely with an experienced team of support staff, SENCO, and leadership to create a nurturing, structured environment.
  • Planning adaptive, creative lessons that meet both academic and emotional needs.
  • Temp to perm opportunity – ideal for someone looking to establish themselves long-term within a supportive school community.

The Ideal Candidate

  • A qualified primary teacher (QTS or PGCE); ECTs are warmly encouraged to apply.
  • Experience or interest in SEMH, inclusive education, or special needs support.
  • Calm, resilient and creative, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A genuine passion for helping every child thrive — both academically and personally.
