A friendly and well-regarded primary school in Lewisham is looking to appoint an enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant (Level 3 Early Years Practitioner) to support children in their Early Years provision. This is a full-time, long-term position, with the opportunity to become permanent after one academic year.

The successful EYFS Teaching Assistant (Level 3 Early Years Practitioner) will work closely with teachers and the wider Early Years team to provide high-quality care, learning, and support for preschool-aged children during a vital stage of their development.

The Role

In this role, the EYFS Teaching Assistant (Level 3 Early Years Practitioner) will:

·         Support children through structured play and early learning activities

·         Assist with the planning and delivery of engaging EYFS sessions

·         Promote children’s social, emotional, and communication skills

·         Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment

·         Contribute to observations and assessments in line with EYFS expectations

Essential Criteria

To be considered for this position, applicants must:

·         Hold a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner qualification

·         Have previous experience working in a nursery setting, particularly with preschool children

·         Demonstrate a caring, proactive, and professional approach

·         Have a clear understanding of safeguarding and child development
