Clarus Education is working in partnership with a well-regarded academy secondary school in Havering to recruit a talented and committed English Teacher for a fixed-term role from February 2026 through to July 2026, with the potential for a permanent appointment for the right candidate.

The Role:

• Teaching English across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience advantageous but not essential)
• Planning and delivering engaging, high-quality lessons aligned with the UK National Curriculum
• Marking, assessment, and tracking student progress
• Maintaining high expectations for behaviour and achievement
• Working collaboratively within a successful and forward-thinking department

The Ideal Candidate:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
• Has experience teaching English in a UK secondary school
• Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and effective classroom practice
• Is reflective, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement
• ECTs with relevant secondary experience and experienced teachers are both welcome to apply
