ASAP Start | Long-Term Role | Part-Time

Clarus Education is working with a well-regarded secondary school in Bexley to recruit an experienced Design & Technology Technician to join their team on a long-term basis.

This is a part-time role, ideal for someone with either school-based experience or relevant industry experience.

Role Details:

• Start: ASAP
• Hours:
• 1 full day per week (7 hours) or
• 2 mornings per week (3.5 hours each)
• Contract: Long-term
• Setting: Secondary school DT department

Responsibilities:

• Cutting and preparing materials for lessons
• Cleaning, maintaining, and servicing equipment (including vices and tools)
• Supporting the safe and effective running of DT workshops
• Assisting teaching staff with lesson preparation where required

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a DT Technician or
• Relevant industry experience working with tools, materials, and machinery
• Strong understanding of health & safety procedures
• Reliable, practical, and well-organised
