Are you a highly organised and approachable HR or administrative professional looking for a rewarding role in education? A welcoming and well-regarded primary school in Harrow is seeking an HR / Admin Officer to join their supportive team on a full-time basis, covering a 1-year maternity leave.

About the role

As the school’s HR and Administration Officer, you’ll play a key role in keeping things running smoothly. You’ll manage HR administration and support the day-to-day operations of the school office. This is a varied and fast-paced position where no two days are the same.

Key responsibilities

  • Support recruitment processes including adverts, shortlisting, and onboarding new staff.
  • Maintain accurate staff records and handle HR documentation.
  • Oversee attendance, absence, and payroll-related reporting.
  • Provide administrative support to senior leaders and teaching staff.
  • Help ensure compliance with safeguarding and safer recruitment processes.

About you

You’ll bring excellent organisational and communication skills, along with a warm and professional manner. Previous experience in an education setting or HR environment would be an advantage, but strong admin skills and a proactive attitude are just as important.
