A well-established primary school in Redbridge is seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Year 6 Teacher to join our supportive and ambitious team. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about delivering outstanding teaching and learning, and who has essential experience in Key Stage 2.

 

The Role – Year 6 Teacher

We are looking for a confident and committed Year 6 Teacher who can:

  • Plan, teach and assess high-quality lessons in line with the National Curriculum
  • Deliver a stimulating and engaging Year 6 curriculum
  • Maintain high expectations for pupil behaviour, progress and attainment
  • Use assessment effectively to support pupil progress
  • Provide a safe and inclusive learning environment for all pupils
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and carers

 

Key Responsibilities

As the Year 6 Teacher, you will be responsible for:

  • Planning and delivering effective lessons across the Year 6 curriculum
  • Assessing pupils’ progress and maintaining accurate records
  • Tracking attainment and using data to inform teaching and intervention
  • Providing high quality feedback to pupils
  • Supporting pupils’ personal development and wellbeing
  • Working as part of a professional team to contribute to school improvement
  • Engaging with parents and carers to support learning at home

 

Person Specification / Qualifications

To be considered for the role of Year 6 Teacher, you must:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have the right to work in the UK
  • Have essential experience in Key Stage 2
  • Be confident teaching across the full Year 6 curriculum
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills
  • Be able to build strong relationships with pupils, parents and staff

 

Salary

  • MPS/UPS – £37,870 – £56,154 (Outer London pay scale)
