Salary: Outer London MPS/UPS £37,870 – £56,154 + SEN Allowance

Our Bexley Primary School is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Specialist ARP KS1 Teacher to join our inclusive and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within an Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP) embedded in a mainstream primary school, supporting pupils with SEN and SEMH needs.
As a Specialist ARP KS1 Teacher, you will work with a small class of KS1 pupils who follow a reduced and carefully adapted curriculum designed to meet their individual learning, emotional, and behavioural needs. You will be supported by experienced additional support staff and work closely with the SENCo, leadership team, external professionals, and families.
The Role
The Specialist ARP KS1 Teacher will:
· Plan and deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching tailored to pupils with SEN and SEMH
· Adapt the curriculum to ensure access, engagement, and progress for all learners
· Create a calm, structured, and nurturing learning environment
· Use effective behaviour regulation and trauma-informed approaches
· Monitor progress and contribute to EHCP reviews and support plans
· Curriculum and Provision
In this role, the Specialist ARP KS1 Teacher will support pupils working below age-related expectations, focusing on communication, emotional regulation, independence, and early academic skills within a highly personalised curriculum model.
Person Specification
We are looking for a Specialist ARP KS1 Teacher who:
· Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
· Has experience teaching KS1 and/or children with SEN in UK mainstream or special school settings
· Demonstrates strong knowledge of SEN, SEMH, and adaptive teaching strategies
· Is patient, reflective, and committed to inclusive education
