The Opportunity

Clarus Education is working in partnership with a forward-thinking secondary school in Redbridge to recruit an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Science Teacher for a full-time, permanent position.

This role offers the chance to teach within a well-resourced Science department that places strong emphasis on curiosity, practical learning and academic success. The school welcomes specialists in Biology, Chemistry or Physics.

Your Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Teach your specialist subject at Key Stage 5 where appropriate
  • Plan lessons that promote scientific enquiry and independent thinking
  • Use assessment to track progress and support pupil achievement
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, safety and classroom culture
  • Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives

About You

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)- Essential
  • Have experience teaching Science in a secondary school setting
  • Strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry or Physics
  • Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Committed to inclusive practice and continuous professional development
