About the Role

Clarus Education is supporting a thriving secondary school in Newham to recruit a passionate and experienced Geography Teacher. This is a full-time, permanent role for candidates with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and proven classroom experience.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging and challenging Geography lessons to secondary students, contribute to curriculum development, and support the school’s ethos of high expectations and student achievement.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Promote student engagement, progress and academic achievement
• Use assessment effectively to track progress and inform teaching
• Contribute to departmental planning, extracurricular activities, and school life
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents and leadership to support student success

Essential Skills and Experience

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Proven experience teaching Geography in secondary education
• Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the curriculum
• Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills
• Commitment to raising student attainment and engagement
• Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
