Our Further Education Provision is seeking a committed and passionate Electrical Tutor to join our team for an ASAP start at our Cambridge provision. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrician who is looking to transition into the education and training sector, with full support provided for those without a formal teaching qualification.

As an Electrical Tutor, you will play a key role in training and inspiring the next generation of electrical professionals, delivering high-quality teaching within a supportive and industry-focused environment.

About the Role

This Electrical Tutor role is ideal for someone with strong industry experience who wants to share their knowledge and develop a rewarding career in education. Full training and support towards teaching qualifications will be available where required.

Key Responsibilities

As an Electrical Tutor, you will:

·         Deliver engaging practical and theoretical electrical training sessions

·         Support learners working towards industry-recognised electrical qualifications

·         Prepare lesson plans, learning materials, and assessments

·         Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback

·         Maintain a safe, inclusive, and professional learning environment

·         Ensure teaching aligns with current industry standards and awarding body requirements

·         Support learners with employability skills and progression into work

Person Specification

·         The successful Electrical Tutor will have:

·         Proven industry experience as a qualified or time-served electrician

·         Strong communication and interpersonal skills

·         A desire to move into teaching and learner development

·         The ability to motivate and support learners from diverse backgrounds

·         A commitment to safeguarding, health & safety, and quality education

·         Teaching qualifications are desirable but not essential
