Salary: Outer London MPS/UPS (£37,870 – £56,154) + SEN Allowance
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated KS1 ARP Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive primary school with an Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP). This is a full-time, permanent role starting as soon as possible and offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the lives of young children with additional needs.
The Role
As a KS1 ARP Teacher, you will work with a small group of pupils with SEN and SEMH who access a reduced and adapted curriculum. Teaching will focus on early learning, communication, emotional regulation, and building positive learning behaviours. You will be supported by experienced additional support staff and work closely with the SENCo, leadership team, families, and external professionals.
Key Responsibilities
· Plan and deliver high-quality, adaptive teaching for KS1 pupils with SEN and SEMH
· Design and implement a personalised curriculum to meet individual needs
· Create a calm, nurturing, and structured learning environment
· Use inclusive, trauma-informed and behaviour-supportive strategies
· Monitor progress and contribute to EHCP reviews and individual support plans
Person Specification
The successful candidate will:
· Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
· Have experience teaching KS1 and/or children with SEN in UK mainstream or special school settings
· Demonstrate strong knowledge of inclusive practice and adaptive teaching
· Be patient, reflective, and committed to pupil wellbeing and progress
