Intervention Tutor – Secondary School
Location: Wandsworth, London

Salary: £100 - £130 per day (depending on experience)

A thriving secondary academy in Wandsworth is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Intervention Tutor to join their team on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a direct impact on student progress and to support young people in reaching key academic targets.

The Role

As an Intervention Tutor, you will:

  • Deliver targeted small-group or one-to-one support sessions across core subjects (particularly English, Maths, and Science).
  • Work closely with class teachers and Heads of Department to identify learning gaps and design tailored intervention sessions.
  • Help students build confidence, improve attainment, and develop essential study skills.
  • Record progress, assess outcomes, and support classroom strategies to ensure long-term academic growth.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Passionate about supporting young people and raising achievement.
  • Skilled at explaining concepts clearly and adapting to different learning needs.
  • Organised, patient, and proactive in planning engaging sessions.
  • Ideally qualified with a teaching certificate (QTS or equivalent) – however, this is not essential. Candidates with tutoring, mentoring, or school support experience are equally encouraged to apply.
