Year 2 Teacher – Long-Term Opportunity | Redbridge
We are working with a welcoming and well-resourced 4-form entry primary school in Redbridge who are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join their team on a long-term basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a committed Year 2 Teacher who is confident in KS1 and familiar with the expectations of British primary education. The role will run until Summer 2026, with a strong possibility of a permanent appointment from September 2026.
The Role
As a Year 2 Teacher, you will:
· Take full class responsibility, including planning, teaching and assessment
· Deliver engaging lessons in line with the KS1 and national curriculum expectations
· Prepare pupils effectively for end-of-key-stage assessments
· Work collaboratively within a large, supportive year group team

· Supportive senior leadership and strong phase leadership
· Well-established systems, shared planning and excellent resources
· Easily accessible location within Redbridge
Requirements
· To be considered for this Year 2 Teacher role, you must:
· Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
· Have experience working in British schools
· Have KS1 teaching experience, ideally in Year 2
· Be confident with assessment, data and SATs preparation

Early Career Teachers are encouraged to apply. Please note that while ECTs are welcome, formal induction would begin in September 2026 should the role become permanent.
Pay
£230 to £330 per day, paid in line with MPS/UPS (depending on experience)
