About the Role

An inclusive and forward-thinking 4-form entry primary school in Redbridge is recruiting a confident and motivated Year 5 Teacher. This long-term position offers the opportunity to transition into a permanent role for the right candidate.

You will have full class responsibility and be part of a large, collaborative upper-KS2 team, benefiting from shared resources, consistent routines and strong leadership support.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that promote progress and independence
• Take ownership of planning, assessment and progress tracking for your class
• Prepare pupils for the academic and personal demands of upper KS2
• Contribute to a consistent approach to teaching and behaviour across the year group
• Foster a positive, inclusive and ambitious classroom culture

Person Specification

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching in Key Stage 2 (Year 5 experience desirable)
• Strong curriculum knowledge and high expectations for pupil achievement
• Confident managing behaviour in a large, diverse setting
• Team-focused and committed to professional development
