Job Title: Primary Behaviour Mentor

Location: Bexley

Salary: £25,000+ (depending on experience)

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Primary Behaviour Mentor to join our friendly and inclusive primary school in Bexley. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on helping children develop positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and social skills within a nurturing environment.

 

The Role:

As a Primary Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with children from EYFS to KS2 within our Additional Resource Provision, supporting them to access learning and thrive in school.

 

Your role will involve:

·         Using de-escalation techniques and a calm, firm but fair approach to manage challenging behaviour

·         Supporting children with emotional regulation, movement, and sensory breaks

·         Promoting positive behaviour and resilience through structured interventions and one-to-one support

·         Collaborating with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure consistency and a supportive environment

Skills & Experience:

·         Experience working with children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needs

·         Strong understanding of de-escalation strategies and behaviour management

·         Ability to implement emotional regulation strategies and sensory/movement breaks

·         A calm, firm but fair approach, promoting positive behaviour at all time

·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
