We are a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Greenwich, seeking a dedicated and experienced Behaviour Nursery Teaching Assistant to join our Early Years team on a full-time, long-term basis, starting ASAP.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Behaviour Nursery Teaching Assistant who has a strong background in supporting Nursery-aged children with behavioural challenges and SEMH needs. As a school, we are committed to early intervention, consistent routines, and nurturing positive behaviour from the very start of a child’s educational journey.

The Role

As a Behaviour Nursery Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support for Nursery pupils with behavioural and SEMH needs
  • Support children with emotional regulation, behaviour management, and social development
  • Work closely with the Nursery teacher, SENCo, and pastoral team
  • Implement behaviour support strategies, routines, and individual plans
  • Support learning through play-based EYFS provision
  • Help create a calm, safe, and structured Nursery environment

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a Behaviour Nursery Teaching Assistant who:

  • Has experience working with Nursery-aged children
  • Has proven experience supporting children with behavioural and SEMH needs
  • Is calm, patient, resilient, and nurturing in their approach
  • Understands early years development and attachment-aware practice
  • Has ABA, behaviour mentor, or similar behaviour-focused experience (desirable)
  • Can work effectively as part of a collaborative school team
