Experienced Teaching Assistant – Primary Schools (Bexley)

Start Date: January 2026
Contract: Day-to-Day, Short-Term & Long-Term Supply
Working Hours: Monday to Friday (flexible days available)
Location: Bexley, South-East London

Primary schools across Bexley are seeking experienced Teaching Assistants to join their supply teams from January 2026. This role offers the opportunity to work on a day-to-day, short-term or long-term basis, supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 in a variety of local primary schools.

This position is ideal for Teaching Assistants who value flexibility, want to maintain a healthy work–life balance, and enjoy working in different school environments.

About the Role: Teaching Assistant

  • Support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
  • Work 1:1, in small groups or provide general classroom support
  • Assist the class teacher with behaviour management and classroom routines
  • Support pupils with additional needs when required
  • Help create a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment
  • Follow school safeguarding, behaviour and inclusion policies

The Ideal Candidate

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification preferred
  • A minimum of 6 months’ experience working in a UK primary school is essential
  • SEN experience is desirable but not essential
  • Confident with behaviour management and classroom support
  • Reliable, professional and punctual
  • Adaptable and able to work across different year groups
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
