Course Team Leader – Travel and Tourism
Location: Uxbridge
Salary: £32,438 – £38,351 per annum (pro rata)
Contract: Part-time, Permanent (4 days per week)

 

Are you ready to take the next step in your teaching career and lead an enthusiastic team within a thriving Travel and Tourism department? We’re looking for a passionate Course Team Leader who can inspire both staff and students and ensure the delivery of high-quality, industry-relevant education.

About the Role

As Course Team Leader, you’ll oversee the day-to-day management and coordination of Travel and Tourism courses, supporting staff, monitoring student progress, and ensuring outstanding standards of teaching, learning, and assessment. You’ll also contribute to curriculum planning, develop engaging learning opportunities, and maintain strong links with employers to enhance the learner experience.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and supporting course delivery and assessment.
  • Monitoring student achievement, attendance, and progression.
  • Coaching and developing team members to achieve excellence.
  • Contributing to curriculum development and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Supporting cross-college events, marketing, and recruitment activities.

About You

You’ll be a qualified and experienced Travel and Tourism educator with a passion for developing talent and raising aspirations. With a sound understanding of current industry trends and demands, you’ll bring creativity, leadership, and strong organisational skills to the role.

You should have:

  • A relevant degree or Level 4+ qualification in Travel and Tourism or a related area.
  • A recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
  • Previous experience in curriculum delivery and assessment within FE.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills with the ability to motivate others.
