Section Manager – Travel and Tourism
Location: Uxbridge
Salary: £47,939 – £52,165 per annum
Contract: Full-time, Permanent (36 hours per week)

 

Are you a passionate and experienced educator or manager ready to lead and inspire the next generation of travel and tourism professionals? Our College is seeking a dynamic Section Manager for Travel and Tourism to oversee curriculum delivery, staff development, and student achievement within this exciting vocational area.

About the Role

As Section Manager, you’ll play a key role in shaping the direction of the Travel and Tourism department, ensuring exceptional teaching, learning, and student outcomes. You’ll lead a team of committed lecturers, manage quality assurance processes, and work closely with senior management to maintain and enhance the department’s strong performance.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and managing staff to deliver high-quality programmes.
  • Supporting curriculum development that meets industry and employer needs.
  • Monitoring student progress, achievement, and retention.
  • Driving innovation in teaching and learning strategies.
  • Managing budgets and resources effectively.

About You

You’ll be an inspiring leader with a passion for vocational education and a strong understanding of the travel and tourism sector. With proven leadership or course management experience in further education, you’ll bring strong organisational skills, a collaborative approach, and the ability to motivate both staff and students.

You should have:

  • A relevant degree or equivalent vocational qualification.
  • A recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience in curriculum management and team leadership.
  • A track record of driving quality improvements and outstanding student experiences.
