Role snapshot

A vibrant primary school in Westminster is seeking a Year 6 SATs Booster Tutor to drive progress in the lead-up to KS2 assessments. This long-term position starts in January and is ideal for someone who thrives on targeted intervention and securing strong SATs outcomes.

What you’ll be doing

  • Delivering targeted booster sessions in Maths, Reading and SPaG for Year 6 pupils.
  • Supporting pupils in small groups and 1:1 to close attainment gaps and build confidence.
  • Using assessment data to plan focused sessions that address specific learning needs.
  • Working closely with the Year 6 class teachers and senior leaders to track progress.
  • Developing pupils’ exam strategies, time management and resilience ahead of SATs.

About you

  • Significant experience working with Year 6, specifically in SATs preparation.
  • Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and current KS2 SATs framework.
  • Confident planning, delivering and reviewing high-impact interventions.
  • Skilled in behaviour management with a calm, reassuring and motivational approach.
  • A collaborative team player who can quickly integrate into an established Year 6 team.

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is highly desirable, but applications from highly experienced intervention specialists with a strong Year 6 SATs background are also welcomed.
