We are seeking a committed and skilled Behaviour LSA to join our dedicated school team.

 

This role is ideal for candidates with experience in behaviour support, SEMH provision, therapeutic interventions, or those who have worked as ABA Therapist Assistants.

 

About the Role

As a Behaviour Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with individual pupils and small groups to help them engage positively with learning, regulate behaviour, and develop resilience. You will be a key part of the pastoral and inclusion team, supporting children to overcome barriers and achieve their full potential.

 

Key Responsibilities

·         Provide targeted 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs.

·         Implement behaviour support plans, therapeutic strategies, and personalised interventions.

·         Use de-escalation techniques and trauma-informed approaches.

·         Work collaboratively with class teachers, SENCo, pastoral leads, and external agencies.

·         Build trusting, supportive relationships with pupils to promote engagement and progress.

·         Contribute to the wider safeguarding and wellbeing culture of the school.

 

What We’re Looking For

·         Essential: Prior experience working with children with SEMH and behavioural needs.

·         Experience beneficial for those from an ABA therapy or therapeutic support background.

·         Strong behaviour management and communication skills.

·         A calm, patient, and solution-focused approach.

·         Ability to adapt strategies to suit individual needs.

·         Commitment to inclusion, teamwork, and professional development.
