SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant – Behavioural Support
Location: Wandsworth, South West London
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time, long-term

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for helping children thrive in a supportive, inclusive environment? A thriving primary school in Wandsworth is seeking a dedicated SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately to support a pupil with behavioural needs.

The Role

You will work closely with a KS2 pupil who requires consistent 1:1 support to help manage behaviour, maintain focus, and achieve learning goals. The role involves working alongside the class teacher, supporting social and emotional development, implementing behaviour strategies, and providing a structured environment that encourages positive engagement and progress.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience supporting pupils with challenging behaviour, SEMH, or SEND.
  • Remains calm, patient, and resilient under pressure.
  • Can establish strong rapport and trust with pupils and staff.
  • Uses positive behaviour management and restorative approaches.
  • Holds relevant SEN or TA qualifications (desirable but not essential).
