POSITION: SENCO
PAY: Paid to Scale (dependent on experience)
CONTRACT: Full Time, Long Term (Until February Half Term)
WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday
START DATE: ASAP
LOCATION: Waltham Forest, North East London

A forward-thinking and inclusive primary school in Waltham Forest is seeking an experienced SENCO to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis until February Half Term. This role is ideal for a proactive and organised SEND professional who can lead SEND provision and support staff and pupils effectively during this fixed-term period.

About the role: SENCO

· Lead and oversee SEND provision across the school
· Support teachers and staff with differentiation and SEND strategies
· Coordinate EHCP processes, reviews, and statutory responsibilities
· Monitor pupil progress and the effectiveness of interventions
· Work closely with external professionals, families, and the SENCO team
· Maintain accurate SEND records and reports
· Safeguard pupils and ensure compliance with school policies
· Full-time, long-term role until February Half Term
· Based in Waltham Forest, North East London

The ideal candidate: SENCO

· Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required
· NASENCO qualification preferred (or working towards)
· Proven experience as a SENCO or in a similar SEND leadership role
· Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills
· Confident supporting staff, pupils, and parents
· Strong understanding of SEND statutory requirements and good practice
